About Me

Hi there, I’m the “Girl”!

I live in Lisbon, Portugal. I started this blog when I turned 30. And had a baby. A sort of not-yet-middle age crisis. But without the crisis part. It was more a mix of needing a challenge and wanting to read about people who were going through the same things I was going through.

Magazines would categorize me as a “young woman”, which is weird and somewhat ambivalent. No one says “young man”, right?

Most lifestyle blogs I follow and researched were related to fashion, travel and/or restaurants. And, of course, the mommy blogs. All interesting (some more than others) but always a little bit different from what I was looking for. Something was missing.

This is the blog I wanted to read. 100% of things that go through my mind.

What connects the dots? Do you feel like a woman but they insist in calling you girl (“menina” in Portuguese)?

Just like you, I live ensandwiched between the 20s and the 40s, feeling the Internet gives you nothing but trying to sell me products.

In this blog, I share with you my experiences and points of view, so that you can find a fun company and a place to reflect and navigate this stage of our lives.

I will not suggest biologic pancakes nor meditation. Not my life, not my style. I promise.

I will write about books, having kids and being a woman (I know very little about planting trees).
